Newbie trying to do some research...
I remember finding a post or a web site a while back that walked through the different types of variables that are controlled by the ECM. My memory may not serve me well, but I think it said there were four types of variables:
a) flags (on/off), e.g. turn EGR on or off
b) single variables, e.g. speed limiter
c) two dimensional tables
d) three dimensional tables
It was a good "intro" type discussion, which is what I really need now that I'm trying to understand how to burn a chip for my swap from an L03 305 to a 350 H.O. crate motor. Does anyone know where this information can be found? I have searched old posts here and I've also checked out www.diy-efi.org but just can't seem to find it.

Flags, Values, Arrays (as seen in Winbin). These are the info the ECM uses to operate the engine and trans. The 3D maps are just a representation of information in some of the tables (eg Spark, EGR). The tables themselves are contained in the Values and Arrays catagories. MAF tables, spark tables, etc.
Don't remember seeing a web page that describes these but it may have been a thread on this board.
