WOT tuning / Pe vs RPM

Hi.......

I'm trying to get my car rich in PE mode...

I have added crazy 45% in PE vs RPM and still I cant get over 700 mV on my 02, I know I should use a WB but I want to get it close..... My injectors are open 9.2 mS and its impossible to get the to open longer. This is up to 5500 rpm.

Any ideas?

I can email the bin if someone is willing to look at it (Grumpy?)

/N.

Yeah thats a pretty high amount of fuel to have in PE vs. RPM. Probably need to revisit the high load scalar tables to get the baseline fuel up. Also, are you sure your MAF is good? If it's sending a low airflow number on the top you'd be in trouble there too.

Going by the math here at BruceWorld that would mean a 100% duty cycle. If the injector is on 100% of the time, it's flowing all it can.

This one of the times when an ecm bench is the perfect tool. That way all you do is risk LEDs rather then an engine.

Maybe someone on the list has one set up for a 165 on the list. I'm just not setup for that right now.

MAF is putting out 255 gr/sek at 3800 rpm......

I have SVO #30 att 44 psi I have calculated that they should be enough......I cant get my O2 readings up from 3400-5500 rpm the O2 sensor is new......

Is it a heated O2? Perhaps with all the fuel your adding, the sensor can't get up to operating temp to provide you with a legitimate reading.

have you messed with the PE vs coolant tables? That might explain your need to go so high in the pe vs RPM table, to compensate for something you adjusted earlier.

Also what is your injector constant set at?

Havent got a heated one......

Havent messed with PE vs temp.....

inj. is set to 33......

I'll try to lower the PE vs rpm and se if it o2 goes up.......

I have a really bad knock now??? so I'll see if I can do some testing later if I find whats caursing it......probably a bad lifter....

Thanks guys!

Where is the O2 located in your exhaust system?

I would get a heated one at a minimum. That way you eliminated one possibility, and also the other that the sensor might be faulty. The stock O2 is not the best device for tuning to. A trip to a dyno might shed some light also, and let you know where you stand in the greand scheme of things.

Keep us posted.

Ok..

Updates....Have tried another O2 and today I put a heated one in but still the same, can get any readings over 700mV......WTF?.......

I've checked my exhaust for leaks but nothing........

Tomorrow I will check the wiring, otherwise I dont have a clue...............

If what Grumpy said is correct, then your injectors can't physically flow more fuel, they are operating at peak. You can either try turning the fuel pressure up or getting larger injectors.

If you are only at 9.2ms at 5500 you are not at peak DC yet,
5500 RPM you have 10.9ms available .
You can also try lowering inj constants being you have them set at 33# and your inj are 30#,lowering them should give you 9% more PW open time.
Also be sure you are recording PW at the same coolant temps
because the F/A adder vs. coolant temp will be a factor.
Make sure your car is entering into PE mode, check TPS voltage at WOT.

Found the problem....

Bad ground between engine and frame, why didnt I think of this earlier

Added a x-tra wire between engine and frame and one from battery to frame and suddenly I got green lights on my A/F meter
