Wide band 02 sensor.

Where can I buy one ready to run? Will it work with the 7730 8D? Or will I have to get another guage just to read it? What is the best price you guys have heard of? Any help would be great. Dyno time costs $100 per hour. So ten times to the track will pay for the O2 sensor.

It wont wotk with your ECM.
You need a new gauge.

It can 'sort of' work with your ECM. I have the Vout of the DIY-WB box feeding directly into the ECM. Professa Davis modified the AUJP to read the voltage, map it to the AFR, and push the AFR out in the ALDL datastream in the 'requested AFR' spot. It's not used for any adjustments ... but, it gives you a GREAT way to record the WB AFR along with all the other paramaters at each moment in time (like RPM, Spark Advance, Knock, stock O2 voltage, etc). Here's an example of some data that I pulled from datamaster and graphed in Excel. It compares the stock O2 to the WideBand during Highway Mode.

HUGE thanx to the Professa for doing this mod!!!!

Check out the professa's page at:

http://www.eecis.udel.edu/~davis/z28/WB_hacs/

Nothing really complex to implementing the hac. Just feed the Vout from the WB to pin A3 on the 730. You'll know that the WB bin is in operation because the Check Engine Light will be on but there will be no codes :-) Just look at the AFR value in the datastream. On Diacom it displays the AFR value. Datamaster for SOME stoooopid reason displays a value that you need to divide into 6553 (6553/AFValue = AFR). I don't know about Moates.

Pretty easy and very awesome!!
