As all of you know it can be hard to get all the diffrent Map/load "areas" scaned when you drive.
Specially the really high ones ( due to engage PE mode ), and the low ones 0-30.
So what procedure do YOU use when you tune that area?
I got pretty good BLM scans from idel to around 3000rpm, but almost only in the 45-60 Map range. Now is it "ok" to use the graphical inteface in TUNERCAT to just smooth out the points that is below and abow the scanned areas I DO have ( 45-60 ) MAP, in other words the 0-45 and 60-100 Kpa areas?
I hope you understand what im talking about.
How is the "trend" in the fuel maps?
When I look at the stock bin i se that "GM" use a pretty steep intervals from 0 - 40MAP, then it smooths out from 40-70, then it gets pretty steep again to 100 MAP. Is this unik from car to car, or is it "rule" in fuel maps?

Take a trip on some roads with alot of hills.....
Alf here in southern sweden used to do this when he "tuned" his cars to get the upper areas......

yeah I know about the "hill" trick. But I can be hard hard to get all of the loads anyway

I did get the chip BUT there seems that my prom burner dont support the 29c256 ATMEL chips. I talked to the vendor and he should look it up for me..

Or bags of sand, you do have sand down there right?. LOL
400 lbs or so, or a trailer, can give some feedback on things.
And if you go with the min timing consistant with performance you'll not be in the detonation trap anyway.
You can make big hills out of little hills by driving with your brakes on- works for me 
As you say though, getting the numbers at high load/rpm is difficult. More time or a dyno needed.
There is no rule for the shape of the VE vs MAP vs RPM surface. This will vary with your cam, heads, manifolds, yada yada...
