Z Industries, is directly responsible for me getting into doing my own chips, since they couldn't remember what tranny I had. Dealing with them was really amazing. They would agrue that I told them I had a manual tranny when in fact I had an auto, and then wanted to charge me for my mistake, LOL.

I dunno, in this case for 9 dollars and 1 cent, for the MEMCAL, two EPROMS, and an ignition module, maybe just keep them. Can use the EPROMS as a start to burn your own. MEMCAL is probably socketed so thats a plus also.
There are some good '89 bins around and would be a good place to start with. Search this board and there will be a bunch of good info on where to start. Many like ARAP with different SA tables and a few bit flips. (APYP is the other good bin. This is an f-body bin whereas the ARAP is a y-body bin).
But as far as the Z chip bin, Grumpy has it right.
