Data logging

Ok guys, I lurk here like mad, picken up every little bit of info I can to get my truck running better.

I know its not a thrid gen, but the members of this community seem to know a bit more than the average guy.

I have a 94' silverado with the 5.7l I am wonderin gif anyone has links to the serial cable that hooks to the aldl, I made one but it doesn't work , think i misread and its for 93 o earlier.

Anyhow if you guys could point me (pull me by the nose) to the exact place where i can find the cable I need to build I would appreciate it.

I have spent a lot of time looking, but I am not too clear on wether or not I can make a simple serial cable that will work with my truck.

Thank you all

Not only do you need a cable, but you need software to do something with the data.

What software are you trying to use to view the ALDL data stream?

I tryed to use the aldl test, and then datamaster, the new one with the support for my year of truck. I built the cable with a few resistors, and no chips, or led's the serial cable
