TPS high error
TPS high error
Hi, I'm new here. I don't own an f-body, but I have a truck that uses a speed density computer that I am trying to tune. I just put a 383 engine and an edelbrock MPFI conversion kit on my 95 GMC Yukon. I added a holley 2" bores throttle body at the same time, which uses a different TPS than my old throttle body did. Now when the throttle is wide open I get a "TPS High" code and the tranny sticks in 2nd. This is the least of the problems in my tuning nightmare, but it is annoying and probably easy to fix. Any suggestions?

Your voltage is too high in WOT. Try adjusting it to give a lower voltage. Check the voltage output of the TPS with a digital volt meter. It is best with the engine running if possible. You sometimes don't get the full voltage output of the TPS if the engine isn't running.
