Aight, I have 3.73's and 255/50/16's tires in the rear, so my speedo is off by about 14%.
I just bought the SGI-5 from dakota digital, I understand the settings to used on the dip switches. I'm not clear on where to put it? I have a '91 Camaro, so do I take the wires coming out of the VSS, which is behind the speedo, right? I'm just a 'lil confused, if anyone out there has installed one on their 91-92 camaro, any help would be greatly appreciated
Thanks

No. The VSS is coming off the tail shaft of the tranny for your 91. The couple of cars that I've put the SGI box in, we mounted it under the ash tray. What ya need to do to hook it up is, splice one of the wires coming off the vss (either the purple or yellow) and run that into the "sig in" terminal of SGI box. Then run a wire from the "sig out" to the other end of the spliced wire. You can squeeze the wires through where the shifter cable comes through. As for power to the box, I just ran a wire from the ground terminal to the screw that mounts it to the body. The power wire I used a vampire tap on the switched hot wire for the radio.
The neat thing about putting it there is if you need to make and adjustment, you can just take out the ashtray and have it right there.
Also, how come you didn't just change the gears in the tranny for the 3.73s?
