determining knock retard with 8746 ECM

My scanner does not have a screen for knock retard. I recently downloaded win aldl and notice that for the 8746 ecm there is nothing shown for knock retard. How do I find the amount of knock retard I am experiencing if any? Is that information available from the 8746 ECM? So far I have just been looking at knock count and adjusting to minimize it but it would sure be nice to know how much the KS is pulling out when it does see knock.
Thanks again for helping me with this..............bob

I think you have to use lockers for this, or re-wire for a better ECM.

Ok, I don't know what lockers are although I have seen mention of this in some posts. Can anyone explain or help on this?

Should I really consider going with another ECM? What would be the best for a TBI car and is it worth it??Thanks.............bob

I've been told that a '730 will work. I don't know any specifics, however.
