Got a 2bar sensor to work in a 1 bar car

Sweeet...

I thought it would be alot more complicated than this, so far everything works good... It looks like my "guess" came close enough for me to be able to drive the car around..

I'm going to take the boost retard off and control it via the PCM. This is a roots blown car and i'm not so convinced you need X taken out at 3000rpm and X taken out of 6000rpm...

I'm thinking at lower rpm (at same boost) it will like a few extra degrees of timeing.. Just like a NA car will do.

This also gives me some reach with my fuel tables beyond 1atm. Sweeeeeet

Again I"m really surpized the car drove so well.. PS.. no one tell my car its not at 10,000 feet hehe it thinks ATM is around 55 kpa

Glad to hear your happy.

The thing is the lose of resolution. Which may or maynot be a big deal to you.

I've been playing with a GenVI the last few days, and it's just amazing how course, course can be and still make people happy.

Do you do much other then set the Diagnostic parameters to get there?. Some of the 808 guys have been getting by with doing that.

I dont' think the loss in resolution is important because the car will interpolate between values.. who knows.. it might be cleaner than my old coarse mathed out VE tables.

I use TTS datamaster.. i would really like to know how to change the MAP output to voltage or 2 bar output and change the AC high pressure sensor to voltage or 2 bar map output..

Does anyone have a voltage to pressure chart for the ac pressure sensors and 2 bar map?

The, thing about resolution is that at times, it can mean alot in response, and MPG. The more HP, and less one worries about MPG then they become moot points.

The MAP output is voltage. Not sure what ya mean there.

The ecm only looks for on or off with the A/C inputs.

On the 749 they are using TPS2 for the WB input. Which is 0-5v.
I've wondered about using a 3 bar on that input, and then toggles to use that for just when in boost. But, I'm still in the learning stage code wise.

Eh, I really don't think the gasmileage would be affected.. we will see though.. Thats one thing I really keep big tabs on, not cause im' cheap but because i like our blue skys.

The map output in datamaster is in KPA, and theres no apparent way to get it to readout in voltage.... I would like to see some table (i know it exsist somewhere) that has somthing like this

1 bar 2 bar voltage
0kpa 10kpa 0v
100kpa 200kpa 5v.

that way i can directly compare the KPA in datamaster( it thinks its still 1 bar) to the KPA in 2 bar (what the car is actually doing).

The ac system on a 93 has a pressure sensor just for the high side.. its given a power, a ground, and from it comes a 0-5v reference... just like a map sensor or TPS

Again in datamaster this sensor is given in Kpa or PSI.. no aparent way to get it directly in volts.. SO if anyone has a psi>kpa> voltage chart for your typical GM refegerant pressure switch please please share!

All the GM a/c pressure sensors I seen I believe follow this, 10 psi = .1 volts. So 100 psi would 1 volt. Don't know if this helps or not?
