Highway mode... built in?

Hmmm... I noticed that theres really no way to turn off the highway mode in my ecm (8063) with my present tuning software. It just sorta comes with the territory I can cut the spark but the ecm will still pull the fuel untill the stock 02 reads almost nill. Its kind of annoying, all i have controll over is the spark, not the AFRs or the fueling. My 02 voltages go down to around .003-.004. Is HW mode supposed to run the engine that lean? It just seems like theres nothing but air going through my exaust.

how does teh ecm calculate the necesary fueling in HW mode? I assume it just goes right off the main %VE table?

Highway mode is just like PE mode only it tends to lean out. There are tables that change the desired AFR while in highway mode just as PE mode.

I might go through and see if I can't find you your highway tables.

I found the table for your highway mode AFR vs vacuum. It starts at location 390, you'll find 96 96 A6 A6 A0 9B 96 90 90. Download the demo of the tdf editor from TC and add that table to your tdf file. It's amazing how similar your ecm is to the 8746. I just had to search for the common afr table in my ecm and bingo, it's the same thing in yours, just in a different location.
You have GOT to get Hex Workshop. Look at how long it took me to figure that out, .

Jon, what are the units of the table? I assume the X-axis has the units of AFR but what about the Y-axis? Is it just values of map?
