Newbie questions
Okay...I admit it...I am new to this stuff. Here's my project:
1980 Jeep CJ7, bored out AMC 360, GM TBI from 1990 Caprice police cruiser, Accel 300+ digital ignition, AMC version of TF727 transmission.
Obviously, I am retrofitting EFI into this vehicle. I tried the Holley system first and hated it. Now, I have this system and I would really like to have it work for a while.
Here's a couple of questions for you PROM gods. Any help would be greatly appreciated...I am using TunerPro 3.02.
1.) I am trying to switch the ANLU5369 BIN to manual transmission. I am thinking that the TCC feature will cause some code throwing when the thing is turned on because I am not going to use a GM tranny with the TCC solenoids. How do I remove the auto tranny controls?
2.) I would like to get rid of VATS if possible. Can I simply set the VATS freq to 0 to disable it or is there another trick to it?
3.) How do I remove the emissions controls from the BIN? I don't have to use any of those controls because of the age of my engine and the fact that I live in Texas. I have all the solenoids and such, but all of this stuff is just useless clutter under my hood if I don't need it.
Thanks in advance for any help you guys may be able to provide.

If so, I'd suggest looking at a .bin file from a F-Body that was a manual that used that ecm, then use the VE tables and BPC from your .bin file, and start with that.
All the ecm controls is the TCC, and I doubt that would set a code, but looking at and comparing files will show what needs done.
Disabling the Fault codes for VATS should bypass it.
