good 8746 bin ?

hi,

does someone know, where to get a good bin file to start with? i only found the axkw, but it seems, that its the stock one

or does someone got a bin for a well modded 91 305 tbi 5-speed? (exhaust, heads, headers, cam, intake, tbi, etc) ?
thanks!

What exhaust, heads, headers, cam, intake, tbi, etc do you have?
Everything makes a big difference. Injector size, cat-back size, intake size. Find a bottle neck and it'll make your tune a one of a kind.
If it's a 305, start with that bin, the ANLU is for a 350 with crappy swirl port heads and even then it's VE table needs major rework. The timing is also pretty bad but it's conservative enough to get you around town with ~4 degrees base timing. Just remember to do all the normal setup stuff like set your actual base timing up correctly in the eprom. Also depending on the software you use, remember that the main bias, cts bias, and tcc bias are subtracted along with initial SA (you dizzy's base timing). It's a good idea to zero out your tables that you aren't using or at least make them conservative. Depending on if you're still using EGR can dictate how you should go about tuning your cts vs vac SA table.

Why dont u just start on the bin from your stock prom and make changes off of that?
I may be wrong cuz ive just started burning chips myself, but i dont know if i would trust someone else's modded bin. Not for malicious reasons, but there are countless things that could be different from what youre looking for and you wont even know where to begin.

@Cali: i have absolutely no idea, what all these number and words stand for
its hard to translate all these things to german

@JPrevost: I have...

- vortec zz5 heads, 1.6 roller rockers
- crane compucam 2031, 208/214, 438/152
- hedman shorty headers, 3" cat, 3" single exhaust
- tbi mods with afpr
- performer intake
- march pulleys, (crank, waterpump, alternator, steeringpump)
- no egr, 160F thermostat

maybe someone could make a bin for this and ill do the finetuning of the chip? (hopefully it works when i do that) that would be very, very great :hail: :hail:
if not, then i have to find it out all myself and that will be last 20 years or so
im not a good chip specialist

p.s. ive ordered 30 eproms at ebay for about 10$. i think i have enough attempts for this even without an eraser....

Is that cam a roller cam or not? I'm not familiar enough with those cams but you should be in the range for needing big block injectors OR 350 injectors with a healthy amount of fuel pressure. We're looking at probably 25psi on 55lb ers if not more. I'm running 28psi on 65lb injectors and still idles great .
Use something like desktop dyno to get your VE table ruffed in. Then go ahead and make your main SA table a typical mechanical dizzy, 32 (if iron vortec heads) 34 (if aluminum vortec heads) max timing at 100kpa 3600rpm cell. You'll want timing to come in pretty quick at those high kpa areas so around 2400 you should be near 28, 2000 have about 20, and then idle is whatever the engine wants.
Get your injectors sized up for the estimated power. A big problem with having 2 injectors fire as often as they do in our systems is the on/off time. Lucky for us they're peak and holds but even then they'll have difficulties running close to 100% duty cycle. Try keeping it around 90%.
Do you have any scanning software?

thx for the info. it is a hydraulic roller cam.
i have desktop dyno, but i cant to it right without the flow number of the heads. ill try it first with the stock vortec numbers if i find any.

ive got winaldl, but no connector for it.

ill post my results with desktop dyno.

got some problems with dyno2000.

1. i get a combustion space from about 75cc and i cant change it. compression is at 9.3

3. which induction should i take? is 500cfm 2bbl carb?

i have about 350hp say dyno2000. but it seems a little bit too much

I had to erase my new eproms before I programmed them.

Just use the software for finding your vol eff peak point. It'll be within 500rpm since it's all about displacement and cam lobe seperation.

VE peak point is at 4500RPM with 85.5%
so what can i do with this. should i write the VE% from dyno2k to my VE Table in my bin?

what about the WOT AFR vs. RPM? what do you think is a good ratio for me?
and what is a "highway mode" ? what will happen, if i change the values from that?
