tuning new heads

tuning new heads. i just got some dart iron eagles 200cc heads on. what should i do to make this thing perform. i have the 8746 and everythin in my sig

if yours are anything like the ones i got, they could use a decient amount of clean up on the exhaust...
i didnt touch my intake side too much, but its going to be boosted now and really, i dont like porting work too much....


hey that dyno sheet in your sig.... is that will all your listed mods?


somthing looks odd there.... it looks like its getting fuel, but the line is so flat.....

i meant what should i do in the PROM to make it perform

dyno was with everything except the MSD 6AL and heads.

i though i was looking in a diffrent forum.

well someone once said "give the engine what it wants"

id start with where you're at ( a lil rich at WOT anyway) and see what she wants from there...

It's a matter of experimention to try various combinations to see what it likes. As you change things, you move the peak torque and HP levels to different rpm, and the engine makes max HP in slightly different places, so you have to experiment, and see if it likes less or more timing, and fuel in different areas.

There is no magic tune that works for a given series of modifications. It all takes time.

Set everything to specs, and change any worn tune-up items, and develope a base line, then one by one change things and see if the car gets better, if your into WOT get a G-Tech or establish some other means of timing the car, for MPG, find a specific route, that you can take with repeatible driving techniques, etc, etc..
