2 Questions about the PCM editing

I am swapping in a 95 Trans Am LT1 with T-56, I already have a cable that hooks up to my existing ALDL port and works, can I use it to tune my new PCM for the 95? Also is there any free tuning software for the LT1's? Thanks.

The 8051, which is what I believe you have, takes a special programming cable, and there's no Freeware that I know of for it.

Whatever you do, don't let the Battery voltage drop too much during any reprogramming or you'll need to have it *reconditioned*.

Is there anyway I can modify my existing cable? Thanks.
