Minimum chip speed?

I was looking to pick up a few more AT29c256 chips and was wondering if 250ns chips will work? I found them for $3.30, nearly half of what my current 90ns chips go for.

What about the suffix on the chip, the AT29C256-25DC are going for 3.29 but they sell a AT29C256-25PC for 12.10. What is the difference between the D and P? Also, just found out they have a $39 minimum order, anyone want a few?

And the skinny is (-DC vs -PC):

A 'D' chip is a ceramic DIP chip (Cerdip)

A 'P' chip is a plastic DIP chip (PDIP)

The 'C' portion is for commercial temperature range: 0°C to 70°C

For industrial temperature range get 'I' chips (-DI or -PI). Industrial range is from: -40°C to 85°C.
