Timeing good, Starting not.

I got the timeing for my motor where I want it, but my starter dont like it much, it pulls back and grinds before the engine starts. This is a new starter and the old one did it too when I put the timeing where it is now. What can I change in the chip to change the timeing just at startup so my starter dont grinp and wear out to fast.

Nothing, crank timing is where the distributor base timing is set to.

As a side note, the distributor base timing should be the same as the inital timing setting in the chip.

Set the initial timing to 6-8d, and then use that number for your timing offset or base timing, depending on what your editor calls it. Then tune as necessary.

When cranking the ecm has nothing to do with the timing. The car is just using the ignition module. Once the engine starts and gets to 400 RPM then the ecm takes control of the timing.
