Will VE Master work with modified BLM boundaries?

I'm running a 93 383 LT1 with 230/236 cam and I would like to use VE Master to tune the VE tables. I was wondering if you have modified the BLM rpm and MAP boundaries in the chip if the program will still work properly?

I'm thinking that since the program takes the current BLM values from a datalog and uses them to modify the VE values in the tables, if the blm boundaries are changed it will apply the VE table changes in the worng areas?

For example, in the stock .bin, blm cell 5 refers to 900-1200 rpm and 30-50 map readings, yet in my chip cell 5 refers to 1250-2000 rpm and 45-60 map readings. If VE Master sees an average cell 5 blm of 140 it will increase the VE values corresponding to the stock chip's map and rpm ranges and not my modified blm boundaries.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Rob A.

From my experience VE Master works best when you DO change the MAP and RPM BLM boundaries for the 730 $8D. Given this outcome, I believe that Joe is looking up the BLM and MAP boundaries in the bin ... at least for the $8D. It worked great on my highly modified RPM and MAP boundaries. It worked horrible on setups which needed those points modified but were using stock values.

Ok, great. I guess I'll just have to give it a try and look at the results to see if it looks like it's making changes in the right areas.

Thanks,
Rob
