Datalogging not working. fresh out of ideas.

Datalogging not working. fresh out of ideas.
I am on my second cable, first one was a homemade cable then i bought one.
I have the WinALDL setup for my ECM number 1228746, everything is set at default, i tryed the baud rate from 2400 to 4800 and nothing happens, i have even tryd switching the wires around and that doesnt work. i have the aldl cable in com-port 1 should i have it in com-port2? does the car have to be drive to log data?, i have a manuel transmission with an automatic tranny wiring harness and computer.
the car is in my sig and its a 91 TBI.
im in the ports A & B the same ones i used to flash SES lite
can anyone give some suggestions?

wasin wrong terminal shoulda been A & E.
