$88 bin troubles Pls need help
$88 bin troubles Pls need help
i know this is not a third gen,but any help would be appreciated. i have a new project that i am working on.. it is a 92 baretta with a 730 ecm with a 5 spd... motor is a transplaneted 3400 series, with all the necessary pin readjustment and the car runs but is in need of some seriouse tunning.this is the way the car came. it has the bfuz3200 bin but i can not seem to get it to work in the editor. i am using the atta.ecu file but things really look weird.spark cure is all over the place and stuff like that. can someone recommend a bin file that will work with a 5 spd, SD v6? been to the diy-efi site and looked in the $88 code area and there are a bunch there but i do not know what one is for a 5 spd. i can find a ton of info on v8 bin's and ecu but almost nothing for v6 other then the GN stuff
how about $8d? is it for v8's only?

Normal caveat about checking fan operation and TCC, and all the other flagged switches for the right orientation.

RBob.
thanks for the help guys... i think i will try messing with the $8d for a bit first as there is more support out there for it.
has anyone tried this?- using the $8d in a v6 application?
also all i was able to find out there is the atta ecu file and the 8d ecu file. no luck on the $a1 ecu file.
any one know what the $a1 ecu file is labled as? done a search and nothing comes up.
one other nasty little problem i am haveing is trying to get moates software to link to car.....no scan tool means no info.it works on my maf 165, buddys 730 car and just about any other v8 gm vehicle that i have connected it to that uses a 165 or 730.i also just connected to my car few minutes ago and it connected no problems. i read somewhere on a search that it has something to do with the data tranfer rate or com port rate . any way to get around this? or does it have something to do with the $a1 bin that is in there? i thought a 730 was a 730/165 was a 165.

Ummm...isn't ANHT is an automatic transmission bin? Perhaps you were thinking of AXCN instead?

Ya, AXCN is the manual.
Last time, I let him ride shootgun, at 25 PSI of boost. Takes him hours to settle down.......
