makeing $8d work with DIS

in my quest to get something working with my new project which is a 3400 series DIS engine transplant it seems the only thing that has worked so far is some $88 mask's. $a1 works also but is very limited with what i can do in the editer which i am using is tunerpro
there seems to be more options with the $8d but it seems it is only for a car with a dizzy..... is there anyway to get the $8d to work with a DIS? ecm is a 730
if so how?

Depends on what you want to do with it.

If you want FULL DIS then you'll need some modified code.

If you simply want 1 coil for each cyl, then you just need to make an adapter for your dist.

Why don't you try the turbo grand prix code $8F. It's setup for a six, DIS and boost. BW

well i am not that good at modifying code so i guess i am back to the $88 or $a1 mask

there is no forced air on the car as of yet but it will take S/C from the 3400 series. all i want to do is set the car so it will run decent and then start from there. most of my experience has been with 165 maf and very little exposure to SD cars except for just running a scanner over them for friends.

There is a really nice hac of $A1 on the moates.net file server, and it's not all that difficult to add items to an ecu file in tunerpro, just read the documentation for it. It's on the tunerpro website, and from help within the program. What in particular are you looking for to change?

it is a toss between using the $88 or the $a1 mask.... need to change the injector size as there are now 22# in there instead of the factory 15#. in the $a1 there are 2 constanst for the fuel one is easy, it is in lbs/hr, the other one is called "injector flow rate for single fire" and has .2375 SEC/GM.... i have no idea what this is or what it should be changed to

on the $88 the constant is labled "base pulse constant" with a value of 48 in there, also do not now what that value is. i have another post on this one but no replies yet

any help would be appreciated
