Does Craig Moates have a cable that will go directly from USB to the OBD-1 ALDL (Cable 1?)? The only one I saw on his site for Cable 1 looked like it had a 10/100 LAN connection on the one end instead of a LAN port connector or a USB connector.

Also, where can I find an ALDL definition for an 870 ECM? I have a 165 ECM that I will be hooking up down the road, I just want to see what the computer is doing now since I changed from 24# Injectors to 30# injectors.

 

Yes, moates USB ALDL interface + CABL1 will get you going with ALDL port to USB connectivity.

 

That's what I was afraid of, that I'd have to buy both.... My laptop doesn't have a com port other than the printer port. Does he have one that will work with the printer port????

Hopefully I will have a little more time later today to check out his site again. I prefer to search it out first if possible...

No one makes one for a printer port.

 

I have both parts that moates sells and I can say that they were well worth the money. It works great
