Quick n00b Question (moates adapter related)

I'm sorry for posting such a silly question, but I've been searching and can't find out the answer.

I got my PP2, my TunerCAT and my AT29C256. Finally got it to write correctly (88 MAF, 27C165 orig) and I'm about to put it in the ECM to see if it works. All I did was change the injecters to 24 up from 20.8 to match the 24s that were put in during the swap. I also turned off the MAF diagnostic to see if the SES light still comes on. I'm taking things slow, doing a lot of reading. I have the Moates adapter and I'm ready to plug everything in when I get somewhat confused.

Do I need to have the original prom in the Memcal when I plug that the adapter? I went through the install guide on moates.net and it shows that there is a prom in the memcal, but it doesn't say anthing in the text about it.

Any help would be much appreciated. Again, sorry for such a rookie question. I try to find these thing out on my own, but just couldn't this time.

No, the original prom does not need to be in the original memcal.

You do need the original resistor packs (the smaller blue chips).
