chip fell out of my zif socket......on my 730 ecm. the chip is only so big and there are 2 slots that are left open when it's basically plugged in. i know the white arrow points to the white clip on the board but where does the chip sit in the socket?

is it all the way to the left?

all the way to the right?

in the center so there would be one open space on both sides?

or does it not matter...

please help, it fell out of the car and i forget which way it goes..

In my 730 ecm with the moates adapter, pin 1 (marked with the dot or whatever) points away from the resistor packs.

there is a notch on one end of the prom. That notch goes to the outside of zif/memcal. Does that help?

yeah....white arrow pointing away from the center all the way to the far end. seems to work. thanks for the sugestions guys. thought i was done for sure.....

So are you still planning to get the prom burning equipment?

yeah i'm working on it....just going rather slow right now with all the other things going on.
