9th injector and ARAP bin
I'm in the process of doing a ARAP bin for my 86 355 TPI. Anyway, I've done a search and found that certain things needed to be changed to use this bin on pre-89 MAF systems. But I'm concerned about the 9th injector. I know you can just unplug it, but I just hate to change the way she starts right now. Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't the 9th injector run seperate from the ECM? For arguementative (?SP) purposes, could you set all crank pw multipliers vs. Ref. Pulse to 0 and let the cold start injector do what it is supposed to? Also, is the cold start injector entirely seperate from the ECM?

The mask $6E don’t have the cold start injector.
So if you decided to change to the ARAP you need normally to disconnect the 9th injector.
But as you say you can live the injector in position because it is not controlled by the ECM, just a Temp sensor.
I have a very good experience with out the CSI by just control the “crank pw multipliers vs. Ref. Pulse”
This will solve the problem that some times you get with a $6E (hard to start)
In case that you decide to remove the CSI here are my settings.
My car will start writhing 1.2 sec. see my data logging:

The cold start uses a switch that supplies the 9th injector power while in the crank position under a certain coolant temp. The system doesn't tie into the ECM system at all. Unplug the injector and/or the switch and cover/protect the exposed plugs. You may or may not have to adjust the cranking PW's and multipliers vs. reference pulses to get it to start the way you want it to.

I forgot to mention that I think you need also zero the “Crank Fuel PW vs. Coolant Temp”
