quick IAC question

when the IAC is at 160 steps, does it mean it is fully extended or fully retracted?

fully extended the greater the counts the farther open the air bleed is and the less counts the less adjusting the iac is doing..

Search on IAC , there is alot of good info here, just be prepared for some work to tame it down if u have a rowdy combo :-)

any reason the iac in my car reads 60 steps at cruise speeds(70mph). CL and 185 deg on temp. i would think at 0 steps above conditions.

at idle CL reads zero and appears steady at zero(AC off).

is iac position affected by tps or map?

IAC is tied to TPS%. Search for 'throttle AND follower'.
