7749 conversion done, one issue, HELP!

I just finished the converting my MAF 165 ecm to the 7749. I used the $58 bin off the following link which corrected the injector and VSS issue.

http://www.speedtoys.com/~bort62/7749/Main.htm

The car fired right off but is throwing a lean O2 code, 44, at idle. I double checked the O2 wiring and it is correct. I think the issue is because I am running the stock injectors and FPR on my TPI 5.7. I have noticed that the syclone/typhoon's have 30 lbs injectors from factory.

Can I tune the prom to use the factory injectors or should I buy some 30lbs injectors?

If new injectors are in order, what brand would you recommend?

What about the FPR, should I change it out with an adjustable one, if so, what do you suggest?

thank you for your help,
Mark

You can adjust the Prom for the difference in injector size. The injector constant, in the code isn't used, you need to make the correction in the BPC vs %EGR, table.

If you want to go to 30's there's always used ones on the TurboBuick sites. For ~$50 you can get 6, so for ~$100 you can get 12 of them. Which gives you spares just in case 1-2 wind up being dead. The Buicks used about the same injector as the Syclones, and it varies on what pressure they're talking about they were rated at, they can be refered to as anything from 28s-30s.

He should prolly goto 30's anyway. I don't think even at 100% dc (if the injectors even work at that point) he'll get enough fuel under boost.

Also, I had problems using Ian's bin. I dunno what he did to it.

Someone with a stock car, needs to make a baseline v8 $58 bin. Then import the table data to $60 to make a baseline there.

The 30lbs injectors are installed and, WOW, the car runs very nice. From idle to WOT, very impressive. I went from a 165/MAF ecm to the 7749 2bar map set up, and am throughly impressed. I am running a stock syclone bin with the VSS, TCC, and 8 cylinder corrections made in the ecm constants in TunerCat. I will be tweaking the bin over the next few months to get the most out of the ecm.

thanks for the help!
