I think you guys can help me, engine starting problem

This pertains to my '87 IROCZ TPI car.

I've installed a 395 cu in stroker & a Pro-built tranny. The problem is that it wont start and I believe that its not getting any fuel to the cylinders. I may have pinched the wires in the 4 wire connector on the back side of the distributor.

I have 58psi fuel pressure. I have spark at the spark plugs. The plugs come out dry and there is no smell of gas even when #1 spark plug is removed and I crank for 2 minutes. Also, I check the ECM for error codes and get only the 1-2 sequence. The engine will only crank with not a single cylinder firing.

Knowing that this is a batch fire system and there are no other sensor to tell the ECM about crank rotation other than the distributor, does one of the wires in the 4 wire connector have to do with the firing (pulsing) the fuel injectors????

I have 'burned' Eproms for this car and have visited this board many times, so I know we have alot of knowledgeable guys here on the DYI Prom section.

Have you tried putting a noid light in the injector plug, or listening to the injectors to see if it's opening/closing?

What does your scantool say when the engine is cranking? Does your tach move?

According to this:

there is a distributor reference pulse HI/LO signal going to the ECM.
