looking for some assistence tuning 94 lt1. newb.

I am running a 96LT1 with a 94LT1 pcm. with a T5 behind it.. however computer was out of an automatic car.. Basicly I have too must fuel at WOT and I want to understand how to tune this.. I don't understand what MAP is or how a specific MAP tells you stuff. I for instance would like to bump up the stock timing a tad..
I'm using tundercat.. & the $ee def.

thanks.

There are some LT1-specific tuning articles on the web. Much of what's on the web was written in reference to LT1Edit, since that was available before TunerCat had the $EE def. Try doing some searches for things like LT1 edit, LT1 PCM tutorial, LT1 tuning, 8051 tuning, etc.

Here's a couple of links to get you started:
http://para.noid.org/~lj/PCM%20Tutorial/PCMtutorial.htm
http://www.akmcables.com/tunelink.htm

The LT1 PCM uses a combination of MAP and MAF. Thirdgen ECMs use one or the other, not both. But, reading through the "sticky posts" in this forum, will help you understand the basics of MAF and MAP systems, and a lot of that will carry over towards an understanding of the LT1 PCM.

There's also a tunercat mailing list, although it hasn't been too active lately.

Good luck,
