WB o2 Output Hardware & Software
WB o2 Output Hardware & Software
After some reading I've decided I want to replace my NB sensor with a WB permanantly. Couple questions though...
First does anybody make a hardware piece that you can run a 5-wire WB sensor into that will put out a simulated NB output for running into the stock ECM?
Second I want to run the raw WB output into an unused pin on my ECM and then make it so that TunerPro RT can show me an actual "True" realtime AFR using the datastream during data aquisition. I'm guessing this will take something along the lines of a hacked 730 .ads file with calculations for turning a 0-5v output into an actual AFR number. Also a hacked 8D bin to get this signal into the data stream in the first place.
Is all this possible? I was going to buy the Zeitronix Zt-2 for this but I don't want anything I don't need or want. I want just a WB sensor, a converter for the simulated NB output, and some file hacks. I want someting I can install permanantly and totally invisable, IE no display for the WB, that's what the laptop would be for. You only need to see it for tuning anyway right.
Im sure this would be something that everyone here would love to have. It would be awesome if Moates could do a signal converter like that for WB and if Mark could do the software end of it in the .ads file, since I have no clue how to do any of this. I'm sure the 8D hack for putting the WB into datastream is out there, I just need to find it.

Try the zt-2 unit, it has a simulated NB output. Although, I don't use it on mine because I want to compare with the stock NB O2. I'm real impressed with the performance and ease of installation of this system. Like you I felt like it is a tuning tool and did not want to use the indicator and keep it transparent. It would be nice if it could be made to interface with TunerPro. for now I'm running the Zeitronics Datalogger and TunerPro tiled on my laptop but it gets kind of busy trying to datalog on both at once.
