Handspring Visor PDA, has a USB port, does that mean I could plug any USB compatible scanner into it?.
Or say a serial devise, with a USB converter?.

Would this make for a neat scanner?.

Was Doc's idea actually.

My PPC has straight USB but finding the software for PDA applications is tough. They all seem to be Palm OS based and work only with OBDII...

I'd kill for a PPC version of TunerPro RT:hail:

You can do it, the DSM guys have been doing it for a long time. I believe it only works with Palm OS though. I have a spare m105 sitting around...

Anyway, I was anticipating buying a 1G DSM and bought the scan cable for it and the deal fell through. I'll go home and read the docs on it and see if there is anything pertainent. I believe the software they were using was freeware so maybe someone could RE it

What model? I have a Visor edge (use it for the lab scope module I bought ) and it doesn't have a USB port, just a USB cradle. Got me curious though.......

(Gee, thanks Doc.)

I'll tip Mark's hand a bit. I don't think anything is in the works, but to say it could be on the horizon might be more appropriate. Other forces at work here, could leverage something interesting...

Could I be more cryptic, I suppose so...
