Intake Tract Tuning

I just changed the intake tract on my car, the old one being a matter of being about 3', to the new lenght of about 9'. ie due to installing a Front Mount Intercooler.

Just to get the engine to idle about right meant dropping the BPC from 165 to 125. And the TPS used to be at .42, and is now at .52.

Just a couple data points for the archives.

Did you happen to fix a vacuum leak in the process? Sometimes even the pro's gotta do a reality check

Am I reading that right that you had to drop the bpc by 40 to get it to idle? That seems like a huge amount if you didn't even change the physical injector flow rates. I know my bpc isn't really a bpc but going from 100 to 96 is enough to feel and shift all my BLMs (in closed loop).

I understand the TPS increase but I don't understand the bpc drop. Care to explain?

Far as I can figure, it's due to lowering the VE. The engine now is working harder to draw the air thur the longer tract.

Swapping the BPC to the original value, and then just working with VE shows, it to be the same ~25% difference.

It's interesting as I start to tune more with this setup.
