my chip problems

Having problems with prgramming. using BURN1 programmer, 27sf512

ecm is 1228746. 91 tbi camaro.

Another stock ECM with stock chip works in it yet this does not work and it sounds like a massive vacuum leak that doesn't appear with a stock ECM in there. Should I be offsetting the 4k bin or what? Could you help try to let me know what could possibly be wrong with this.

programming the chip from F000-FFFF is what we did as well.

Thats funny, thats the correct offset to use. What kind of adapter are you using to use the 28 pin chip. I'm using one of craigs adapters, but there are ways to make your own. Also make sure you are calculating the checksum. Not all editors do this automatically. Other than that, it could be loose/bad connection on one of the pins. Did you put in a regular socket or are you using the stock one?
