730 to 749 repin on harness or ecu?

I've searched but not found the answer. I would think "repinning" has to do with the harness/plug side and not the interface on the ecu correct?

Repinning refers to moving the wires at the ECM end of the wiring harness. Need to remove the locking keys from the main connector, and use a push key to disengage the wire/terminal from the main connector.

A jeweler's screwdriver works well or the real deal is available from Packard/Pioneer.

connector info

I have this info on the connectors and pins in case you need more.
There are a bunch of places to get the pins by the GM part number.
Some GM part numbers:
If you're building/repairing a harness for the 1227165/727/730/749/808/747 ecms, you'll need 12047946 and 12045575. For 3 connector ECMs you'll also want 12089591. These are "car side" ECM connectors.
Crimp terminals for the above are 12089660.
(you should solder them anyway to ensure good connection)
The connector inside a 747/808/148 ECM is Packard #12020756. The yellow connector on a 730/749 is 12048046

I was thinking about this... since we have the source code, why not make a version that uses the 730 pinout?

I'd help with this, but I don't have a test bench yet. :P

I've been interested in this for a while now but havn't gotten to the bottom of the config registers to readdress the pinouts.
I got through the A/D inputs and am now looking at clarifying the Digital inputs and outputs all the way to the connectors.
Once all that is figured out I think we could look deep into how the I/O is setup setup by the config registers.
I don't have the full configuration knowledge YET!
It seems to me that there IS a way, I just can't see the trees through the forest yet.

This info should be included in the FAQ (if it's not already, I didn't find it.) In hooking up the wideband to my 730 ECM, it looks like the patches require the input to be on A1.. which doesn't have a pin in it. It'd be nice to easily find a place to get the pins.

Edit: Better yet, link here:

A3 or F14 depending on the patch. Mine for 8D allows both.
So far it doesn't appear to matter which pin is used accuracy wise. I wanted MAP2 open for air inlet logging so I added A3.

JP and myself have been working on the I/O regs off and on for a while. I'm waiting for my knowledge level to reach critical density for this so it stops feeling like I'm beating my head against a wall. I've got the bench for whom ever comes up with it.

Does the patch tell you which pin? Where do I get your version?

??? No, bit selectable for pin choice. I put a flag in a Super_8dm2. ecu and include it with the .s19 file. No asm file included. Been tested on at least 3 running cars.
Only currently avaialble for AUJP and AXYC. Been to busy to finish up the txt files and release it. Maybe this week.
