Can someone explain Wideband 02 to me?
As the title says, can anyone explain the WB02 to me? Seems this is the hot setup for tuning, but I dont quite get what it is or how it works?
Factory o2 sensor is only "accurate" at 14.7 to 1 AFR.
Completely unreliable at any other ratio.
Designed primarily for emissions control so the Cat works correctly.
A WB will read quite accurately from 10 or less out to 17 or something AFR repeatedly, reliably, and accurately.
So you can get a much finer tune for your particular engine.
Because you engine probably doesn't run it's best at 14.7.

You can pay more or less. You can also build your own from the instructions on some sites. Too much electronic work for me to try though. Check this out.
