new to tuning questions $8D

I just got my Burn1 and adapters from moates and have all that stuff working(i think). I downloaded the tunerpro and am trying to get it to work. My first question is I'm using $8D do I need to manually enter all the parameters for the .ecu files or is there an easier way? there's 76 pages and I'm a little intimidated by that. Is tunercat easier to use for a guy without much computer knowledge? Should I start with my stock ANJF bin or should I download the AUJP I keep hearing about on here (my car is a manual now was originally 350 auto). Sorry for the dumb questions, if it weren't for this sites info on prom burning I probably would have switched to carb, thanks for everyones contributions.

Super8dm_1 or close has all the normally tuned stuff in it already. It's on TP or Moates site. One of the two.
Use one of the 8D manual bins.
Do a search, I have an auto and don't recall the bcc.

For the new guy just starting out Tunercat, can be invaluable.
Once you get the basics down, then you can easily step into the more complex stuff. It's tempting to try the freeware stuff, first, but it can be intimidating for the new guy.

Use whatever BCC lines up most closely to your application. There are alot of 8D BCCs out there. The vettes used the ANHT, you might try experimenting with that one. Once you get to where you can do a chip, then it's easy to try a few to see which one gets you the best intial results.

You can try the AXYC bin. I have just happened to convert from a manual to an automatic. The AXYC was my original bin.

thanks for the help guys, I'll go ahead and get tunercat and start with that and a manual bin. So I take it to use tunerpro with anything other than 6E you do have to manually enter the ECU files you want to play with. Guess that's why they call it DIY lol *edit* Never mind I figured it out

Download TunerPro:

http://tunerpro.markmansur.com/

Then download the $8D ecu file:

http://www.supportfitness.com/mark/t...Super_8dm2.ecu

Open the bin with TunerPro, then open the ECU file (you can drag each file into the TunerPro window to accomplish this).

You're good to go. From that point forward, it works just like TunerCat and is no more complex but no less simple.

If after trying the free stuff you decide that you'd like to invest in the $100+ software packages, go for it. Personally, though, I prefer to test the waters before spending the cash.
