I don't have personal experience with this particular knock module. However, I do know that knock modules differ. And, for the C3 and P4 ECMs that use an external module there is an older one from the CCC cars that works much better then the modules supplied with the FI car.
In closing, if your engine is showing sporadic and random knock counts it may be worth trying Gorden's recommendation.
