QUOTE:
1. Lowered SA in the 4-600rpm cells
2. Bumped the VE in the Low kPa region of the VE table
3. Slowed down the IAC action at Low VSS
4. Disabled the C/L Decel Enleanment
did #1 + #2
#3. i commanded idle speed under the physical throttle stop setting screw to effectively make IAC ineffective? commanded 600/physical set 700 rpms. i assume i will see 0 steps in IAC as a result and no IAC action. i still see IAC steps down to about 8 at 800 rpms however?
#4 awaiting TC to send me fix on this. i have a hunch you are correct on deacceleration enleanment drying out wet plenum and runners. a wetplenum has to contribute to overall A/F ratios or corrections to A/F? higher FP (you bet) at 16.5 and moving to 18.5 this week. result is very small PW and idle fuel metering suffers as you stated.
now the overlap Q! i posted before. does larger cam contribute to surging?? i am noting on prolonged idle like at drive thru at McD's i see initial reasonable toggle in CL on WB. say 14.2 - 14.8/1. as time goes on at idle the A/F goes to 13.0/1 toggled to 14.0/1 on WB. is this the overlap causing the NB 02/ECU to adjust fuel? all my idle cells(3/surge) are about the same in VE tables(will double check tonight and make certain on rich side. But with changing A/F(idle) maybe the changing BLM's are affecting the idle quality and involking some IAC movement as well?
are you still running OL (at idle)? why does that not disallow the surge at idle. no 02 correction. if it jumps over a couple/three idle cells fueling would be the same assuming same values? IAC still is functional however. i was gonna try OL(100%) and log on WB just for the fun of it the result compared to CL logs.
