Canister Purge ???

Okay,

I realized something else since the 383 tuning saga has begun.

Of course the CCP is turned off and I'm running/datalogging/tuning as fast as I can without making mistakes and juggling 10 other things at once.

If I tune my entire table to see 128 and having CCP disabled the entire time, what will happen when I turn the CCP back on?

I have never tuned something striahgt to 128 with it off the entire time before, will it work as intended or will I find screwy things due to it having been off for the entire process..

I'm leaving it off thru today at a miminum because I'm hoooking up the wideband and running AE test and tune

When you first re-enable CCP the BLMs will drop like a rock. This is the fuel being purged from the cannister. Once the cannister is clean the BLMs will come back up to the 128 range (or so). Only thing you need to worry about is remembering whether purge is disabled during your tuning

Kinda what I was thinking but wanted to make sure since I am heading to Bowling Green early in the AM. I dont like suprises and fuel tank issues on thirdgens are always cause for concern :-)

Thanks for the heads up, I will be reactivating the canister purge then and run some further tests. Got the inverter so doing some live mountain tuning on the way.
