$58 and big injectors

Hi...

Planning on switching to some big injector this weekend and looking throug the code I think I need change the following for a start...

BPW vs EGR (injector size)
KAPLL (to prevent switching fuel mode at idle)
KAPMIN (to prevent switching fuel mode at idle)
AE vs MAP
AE vs TPS
Inj. offset vs battery voltage

Anything more?

I would seriously investigate your plug issue before I would go any farther along on the performance route.

Or did u find that u had bad injectors?

That's a start, but, depending on how fussy you are, you might edit alot more, to include the VE tables, decay rates of the *choke* fuel, etc, etc..

This is a way to rule out the injectors...I have new p/h injectors from Racetronix laying........

I only have 1 set of plugs left and they cost around 7$ each here, anybody want to send a package or two? hint

Ok ... here is what I had to do to get "almost" the same driveability as before.33->68 lbs injectors

Leave BPW vs Voltage the same, just used the same values between from 12 volt and up to get a flat curve.

AE tabels need a litte more work but I cut them by 50% and then I had to increase vs tps some...

Kapmin & Kapll to 0.520's....

I also had to rework the most of my VE table to get the same smooth driving I had before, the most significate change was in the 70-80kPa 1400-2400rpm area (light acceleration) I had to add alot or else I got a lean bog during light acc. I tried to cure this with AE but it didnt work.

Still more tuning to do...............especially with DFCO.......

I've recently had great luck by just disabling DE, and DFCO, and using the closed throttle VE to get what I want. I'm not sure if it's due to going to a lighter converter, or I just missed previously getting this strategy right in the past..
