Eliminating the Mass Air

Is it possible to eliminate the mass air sensor when using the 165 ecm?

Do a search for, 808

that's the last 3 digits of an Autralian ecm that's very similiar to the 165, but is MAP, instead of MAF.

Either of the last two posts will work. Either running '808 code ($5D), or purchasing a translator (www.maftpro.com) to do the work. Note that Translator will also allow you to use other (larger) MAFs (though it won't come with the increased resolution; still 0-255).
