tunerpro rt 4.0 no go
need some help.

first time use.

trying only to datalog.

went tools-datalog-set up and added definition file for 7747_42.ads. comm type setup max232. dont know what that is but i was told to do by a member. also set com port 1.

my RS USB/serial is com port 1.

when i bring up program(first) i then turn on ign(second) it says aldl "connected" but no data with engine off(no tps reading) and if i start car nothing as well. still says connected. i will print and read "help" this evening.

did i miss a step?

That should do it, assuming your COM port is indeed COM1.

 

i checked after postiung. it is com 1 on RS serial usb adapter. windows XP.

 

Does winbin work for you? I have a 747 on the bench that works great.

 

i was using win ALDL and that connected to RS serial/usb. confirmed RS cable is on com port 1 as is laptop. only tried to connect 3 times now so maybe i am doing something wrong. will try diff startup combinations. think i should run your program after car is running or ign on? i think i had RT up and then i turned on ign.

 

Ron - I have had issues as well. The data will show up but nothing on the graphs. I just go back to WinALDL which has no issues.

 

well i need the pulse width of injector to determine if too small to function at idle. i have seen that can be patched into win ALDL but not confident i can pull it off.
