TunerProRT creating .ADS definition question

Im working on a definition for my $9A and ive looked at a few other .ADS files and have a few questions..

How exactly does the command sting function work when in 160 mode.

I see some that have a command called 'No Command 160' others that have none.

Should there be one as a dummy? Simply ignore it?

I see some have some strange values and i don't understand their perpose...

Whats the correct procedure on creating these ADS files properly?

Any other tips? tricks? Commets

I've searched across 4 differnt forums and most people seem to post here so I figured id ask here...

Thanks -mike

ok answered my own question....

When i took one of these 'older' files with the extra 160 command syntax and loaded them and then simply just saved it. It automatically removed this other 160 command syntax, my guess this was needed maybe before the 160 baud check box was used/in place...

Correct. For 160 baud you don't need any specific command bytes, but you do need to have at least one command in the list (i've been meaning to fix that).

You did the right thing by templating another file. The only other critical part is that you have the response packet size set correctly.
