Ok this weekends tuning events blew but I did find some stuff that I need to ask.
I did some search's here for AO and 42 diff's and seen that the ecm has a diff on A11 and D2 on ecm connector and is backwards from the 7747 to the 4288 as compared. Now one is ground for O2 sensor and the other was a sensor ground for both TPS and CT sensor.
So I did some trial and error things between them but do not understand why. I took the code from my $42 , put in hex editor and changed it to A0 , made sure checksum was correct, burned to chip and installed in the 4288, checked good (no limp home flash). Now it runs like a raped ape and I got my power back and the 800-1200 stumble is gone, pick up is there and I can hold steady at any RPM I choose from 800-1200, couldnt do that before. In short its GREAT but on the other hand I cant scan it to see what the heck is going on, it says vehicle not responding. Now I took the same code and put it back on the chip, set back to $42, did checksum, installed back in 7747 and I got crapola! It idles fine but when you give the gas it hick-ups, stumbles and dies till about 1200 RPM's. I can however scan it and the same goes when I put original AO code back on and then install back in 4288....crapola again.
The only thing I can think of is that the 02 gets left out when in the wrong / sensor ground position. At the same time it does not give me the flash of death limp home mode though. To have the response and every thing it would have to have TPS and CTS, right? I did see where the temp got a bit warmer but nothing to serious maybe 5-10 degree's but I cant scan to tell for hard evidence. What gives? And the goofy thing is that it only does it when I do the 42 to A0 ID swap. What I have not done is to set the AO ID to 42 and install in the 7747 to see what happens.
Ok any info from the guru's would be appreciated. Thank goodness I ordered a ostrich this weekend. Maybe I can get the same code to go with correct ecm!!!!, LOL

There are only a limited few ecms, that you can run other then stock codes in.
No, in limp home mode, the ecm is not using any senors, other then for RPM.
I'm figuring this out grumpy but how come it wont go into limp home mode when I mess with the AA and chnage to AO and plug into a 4288 and the AA code came from a 7747 ecm?
Now keep in mind I'm a newbie and not locking horns with you in anyway, shape, form or fashion. I read other posts of yours and between you and a bunch others ya'll really make my brain hurt so bad I cant comb my hair. Just trying to figure out, thats why I'm here and keep asking dumb questions. As always grumpy thanks in advance for any info.

Unless, you do something like this on an ecm bench, and scope everything out, you're only guessing about what's going on.
From what I know, you can't do what your attempting to do successfully. Maybe, someone else has some info., but I don't see where the what you have going would work.
Don't forget, while it might *feel* good, the buttometer is easily fooled, by running way too rich with way too much timing.
I agree grumpy, I did order the ostrich and will see how I get it there with the right eprom.
