APU-1 HELP
I have purchased the APU1 unit and need a little help, I struggle a little with computer stuff, but have a very good knowledge about tunning and engine. I have a friend that is very good at the computer set up stuff, so I had him to load the drivers and Tuner Pro from the net. The problem is now that that is done I am starting off slow so I dont mess anything up, so we were trying to get the unit to DATA LOG. The program sees the device but it want hook up to the log. We have the dip switches in the correct position and the ALDL connection hooked up and the car started but dosent seem to make the connection, sorry to be so long winded but I am a very new newbee.....LOL. Thanks for any help, and if there is a local guy in north GEORGIA that could help me with this, I would be glad to pay you for your time....THANKS.

Be sure to load the appropriate "ADS" file for your application.
You must do that so TP can recognize the data coming from the ECM.
When you first start, load the ads file and then click on the box where it says to specify the logfile.
You need to create a filename before logging can begin. you don't need to add an extension to the filename you make, TP does that for you.
have fun

I'm usually around, don't mind helping.
We all started somewhere. I'm still trying to figure out where I've gone

I know what you mean....lol. Im trying to practice a little on my old 5.7 with 208k on it before I drop my new set up in, so if I do hurt something its no big deal. My biggest thing is just getting started, and get some time under my belt. Once again thanks for your help.
