FYI - 91 & 92 PROMs
A 92 350 automatic chip works just fine as a replacement for a 91 305 5-speed chip.
The only thing is, the shift light doesnt work, as the automatic chip doesnt control that like the 5-speed chip does. But I have no codes, and no problems. I just thought I'd mention that here.

I just thought I'd mention that here.there really is more to chipping then not having codes. I just did a whole bunch of playing around with IAC stuff and found another world of stuff to tinker with. And this is after years of doing chips. Until you drive the perfect calibration, it's just impossible to even understand.

I know its not perfect, and I dont claim it to be. But I have seen people ask questions about which PROMs are compatible, and I thought I would share my experience. I have been using a 305 5-speed chip, midified for WOT, for a year, and have been trying to get that dialed in. I thought I'd try a 350 automatic chip, to see if it was any different. I dont have my own setup, I am using a friends, so its a pain, I know.
