Holley's 950 Comando

Has anyone read the article in CHP magazine? It looks really user friendly. I hope they use it in a project car real soon.

I read that article, I was wondering about it also. I was wondering if it would hook up directly to a tpi harness. hope someone else know's some more about it.

So far Holley has shown to be clueless about EFI. Before buying anything from them, call the tech line, they haven't a clue, either. Just ask them something about injector sizing. Then remember those guys are your tech source for help. Then both of there earlier ecms have shown problems, and the repairs to the ecms that I've heard ranged from 380 to $420. If in doubt call em and say you have an early system and the Injector driver is out or the later one with the IAC and say the IAC drivers are out. My info., is a little over ayear old but FWIW.

If you want a plug and Play look at the Haltech GM6E.
I'd bought one, but after serious study of all the issues, stayed playing with the oem ones

This setup comes with harness, heated o2, map , and ecm for use with tpi cars. If you email them and tell them you would like a manual on it they will send it to you. It runs about 800 for the whole thing and the software is windows based. I was seriously going to buy it but a friend I had a talk with convinced me on a felpro setup with the wideband o2. He is a ee and works for southwest Texas research. He runs a speedpro on a turbo t that is incredible. He put it best "Your trying to go fast, forget all the little B.S. with the factory ecm and tune the car. Any system that uses a wideband 02 will work." If I dont here anything back from accel on there new system, and whether it uses a wideband or not. Ill be ordering the felpro. I guess another option would be to use the holley and grumpy's stand alone wideband. That combo might work pretty good.

I just thought this system would be a good one for those who don't have the knowhow and the nessesary equipment to burn their own proms. This would also ease the conversion from carbs or tbi to tpi or any other port efi system.
