Possibility on making a dry N2O kit with prom burning.
Possibility on making a dry N2O kit with prom burning.
OK, I have a crazy idea....The Mat sensor in the plenum of a MAF TPI system somehow alters the air/fuel ratio dependant on temp, correct? As you all know N2O is damn cold! So when the N2O is sprayed into the plenum the N2O would come into contact with the MAT and drop its reading considerably..right. Well why not use that to our advantage and at real low N2O injection temps in the MAT tables in the prom tell the computer to enrich the fuel considerably to compensate for the N2O. I would think the NO2 intruduction temps would be far below any outside air temps you would see so it wouldn't interfere with normal driving. I would think that it could also be programed to enrich accordining to the TPS position. Same idea but when it sees WOT it goes to the recalibrated tables. But you would have to run 2 chips for the TPS method one for N2O enrich and one for NA. This shouldn't need much testing...just get the info from an NOS or NOSWorks kit. See the flow rate of nozzle they use which corresponds to that kits HP increase, just install the NO2 part of the kit and burn a prom that delivers the same amount of fuel. This formally wet system has now become a dry system and you get all the benefits of better fuel distribution, etc....
