Where can I get a memcal?

I am about to get into prom burning, but I want a spare memcal to make the modifications
to (solder in a zif, etc).

Anybody here got a spare they want to sell, or know of a place to get one or two?

Other than the proms, are all memcals the same, or are they different for different years?

Spare MemCals are available from the GM dealer. Give them a call. They cost about $45. Yes, different years have some things that you want to watch out for. Don't use a '90-'92 in place of a '86-'89. That's the biggest rule.

Gunning for NA 11's with bigger cam, bigger stall, and bigger exhaust.

Anybody have the GM # for the memcal?
My local dealer is clueless, and my car is
still under cover and I can't get to the
ECM without some difficulty, cause the car is in its cover under a couple of feet of snow...

It is best that you get the ecm and remove the memcal. Even for certain years, there can be a variety of memcals available for the same car. With the proper broadcast code the dealer will get the most up todate from GM available for your car.

For example, my car originally came with an "AUJP 1350". When I purchased a second memcal, "AUJP 1615" was the latest revision.

Initially, I would just erase/burn onto the spare memcal until it's being erased/burned one time too many.
