I want to be able to read codes on a device that's easy to read. Something with maybe an LED that's simple. I'm not into paper clips but I don't want to break the bank either.

There's a brand new AutoZone about to open down the street. I've heard good things about the Auto XRay and that AutoZone carries it.

Someone please give me some advice on what I should buy. Thanks in advance!

I used a forked electrical connector, the kind with 2 prongs. All I did was spread the prongs out a little and it fits perfectly inside the ALDL. Not quite as cheap as a paper clip, but it works fine and fits inside the console or the ashtray. If you want to buy a tool, SunPro has a code reader, as well as maybe Actron, for around $30.

If you're talking about scan tools to read the data the computer is getting from the sensors, the AutoXRay is pretty good from what I've heard...
